THE PERSHING SEASHOW. AN IDEA THAT MOVES ACROSS THE MEDITERRANEAN.
THE PERSHING SEASHOW. AN IDEA THAT MOVES ACROSS THE MEDITERRANEAN.
The second leg of the prestigious Pershing Seashow in Portorose has come to an end . After the trendy ambience of the Salone del Mobile in Milan and the limpid elegance of the famous Slovenian resort, the Pershing 64' continues its preview tour of the most exclusive marinas in Europe.
On May 8 and 9 the Pershing Seashow, the tour event organised by one of the most innovative yachting brands in the world, reached its second destination, the pearl of the Adriatic, Portorose, and is now already sailing onto its next stopover, the sunny and chic Palma di Mallorca.
The star of all three legs of the tour is the Pershing 64', the shipyard's latest creation that recently won over the public in Milan with the extraordinary quality of its interior design and its ability to bring together advanced technology, futuristic design and luxury living standards. To reach Milan the new craft enjoyed a picturesque voyage up the Adriatic coast to become the first yacht of this size to be launched in the Navigli waterways, a location that is as famous as it is unusual. Strategically timed to coincide with the Milan Furniture Show, the impact of the craft's original setting and the extraordinary quality of its interior design, combined to make this choice an ideal stage on which to exhibit the excellence of Italian yacht design to a new audience.
Confident after its huge media success in Milan, in Portorose the new Pershing motoryacht was finally able to display the high performance, sporting side of its character. In fact the 2-days of the Show's stopover in Slovenia included ample time to experience the exciting speed and ideal cruising trim of the Pershing 64', guaranteed by engines that enable the craft to reach speeds of up to 46 knots. May 8 was dedicated to welcoming the 400 guests invited to the event. Customers, prospective customers and journalists were met in the sophisticated atmosphere of the Paprika Club, an exclusive location overlooking the sea. Here the welcome party continued with an excellent dinner accentuated by the great excitement and anticipation for the evening's grand finale, when the Pershing 64' cruised into the sea in front of the Club. Lit by laser beams and accompanied by a live performance by a well-known Slovenian opera singer, the yacht stunned its audience with a remarkable display of cruising power and agility. The same power and agility that the guests were able to experience at firsthand the day after in electrifying sea trials that left from San Bernardino every half hour for the whole day. A huge number of customers, prospective customers and Slovenian and Croatian press representatives took part in the trials and their impatience and eagerness to try this craft out for themselves was evident.
This action-packed day concluded in the name of speed too, with an entertaining go-kart race that both guests and the Pershing President Tilli Antonelli and CEO Fabio Fraternale took part in. In the evening, on the other hand, the guests were able to enjoy a splendid refined dinner in an exquisitely relaxed, high-class atmosphere. Significantly, the following morning, an extra series of sea trials had to be organised to satisfy the mountain of requests received.
The Pershing Seashow is now cruising on to reach Palma Di Mallorca, for the grand finale of this year's tour, scheduled for July 25 and 26. The Seashow is an important and significant expression of Pershing's identity that also fuses perfectly with the shipyard's new communication concept, “Moving Idea". Innovation, dynamic drive and the ability to push back the frontiers of technology, comfort and design: Pershing's new moving idea carries all the brand's classic values to a higher plane and is currently preparing to take the forthcoming major world boat shows by storm.
